Da die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe der Bienen durch die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe der Zelle vorgegeben ist und die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe der Zelle die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe des Thorax der Arbeiterbiene regelt, haben wir auch die Tracheenmilben unter Kontrolle, indem wir die vorderste Atem\u00f6ffnung verkleinern, wodurch sich diese Milben nicht mehr in die Lungen der Bienen begeben k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

Indem wir die Vermehrung der Varroamilben und Tracheenmilben vermindern (beides durch das USDA Tucson Laboratorium nachgewiesen), beide Milben sind in unserer Gegend bekannt auf unseren Bienen, k\u00f6nnen wir damit eine Verminderung der Folgekrankheiten erreichen. Das geschieht durch Verminderung von offenen Wunden, die von den Milben, die am Exoskelett der Bienen nagen und dies durchbei\u00dfen um ihr Blut trinken zu k\u00f6nnen, was zu Virus-, bakteriellen und Pilzinfektionen f\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Noch was zum Problem der Tracheenmilbe, acarapis woodi. Hier auf der Insel La Palma, sind, als ich ankam vor 25 Jahren, fast alle Bienen an der Tracheenmilbe eingegangen. Dann haben die Imker Menthol angewendet und es ging wieder aufw\u00e4rts \u2013 bis die Varroa kam. In den Bienen, die aus 4,9mm Zellen schl\u00fcpfen, ist das vorderste Luftr\u00f6hrenpaar, oder vordere Tracheen\u00f6ffnung, durch die diese Milben ins Innere der Bienen gelangen k\u00f6nnen, so klein, da\u00df die Milben nicht mehr hindurchpassen \u2013 wzbw.
